The 2025/2026 HiLux has been comprehensively upgraded:
- Bold new “Cyber Sumo” exterior design - developed locally by Toyota Australia’s design team.
- A refreshed interior with flat-dash layout for better forward visibility, new digital instrument cluster (7.0” or 12.3” depending on grade) and a 12.3” multimedia touchscreen standard across the range.
- All models adopt the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel 1GD-FTV engine delivering 150 kW and 500 Nm (automatic) or 420 Nm (manual) for the first time as a single engine across the range.
- A 48-volt “V-Active” mild-hybrid assist system on some automatic models for smoother take-offs and improved efficiency.
- Enhanced safety and driver-assist features: updated electric power steering, new cabin-detection alert (for rear-seat passengers), and the latest version of Toyota Safety Sense as standard.
- Improved suspension tuning with “commercial” and “comfort/adventure” setups, making it equally at home on the job or off the beaten track.

- The new HiLux range arrives in Australian showrooms in December 2025.
- Entry price: from $33,990 (before on-road costs) for the 4×2 WorkMate single-cab chassis manual.
- Top grades like the Rogue and Rugged X are priced at approximately $71,990 (before on-roads) in 4×4 automatic 48V variants.
