The Role

Reporting to the Dealer Principal this role will be responsible for the overall management of the New Car Sales Department, ensuring that the operations are both efficient and profitable, and to ensure that good employee/client relations are maintained whilst operating in a smooth process-driven manner.

The role will have a key emphasis on leadership and direction, customer service and sales, including full bottom-line responsibility.  Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of performance against KPI's and budgets is essential as is the ability to engage with all areas of the business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Driving the achievement of financial and volume targets across the sales business
  • Leading, managing and inspiring a team of sales consultants; taking a hands-on approach in supporting sales consultants to meet their targets
  • Utilising our CRM technologies to maximise opportunity and team productivity
  • Taking control of the sales process, involved in the opening and closing of all sales
  • Working closely with all the departments (ie Marketing, F&I & Aftermarket) to maximise overall profitability
  • Develop an understanding of our customer base and looking at ways to continue to engage and ‘wow' our customers whilst looking for opportunities to bring onboard new customers.
  • Process and procedure will form a major part of your role, thus you will need to be able to work well with your team, and lead by example by being hands-on;

 

About You

You will be an experienced Sales Manager within the automotive industry, demonstrating a history of success in terms of leading teams and achieving results across various facets of the dealership. You will drive a high-performance culture, bringing an energetic and can-do attitude to the  business: You:

  • Are well organised, well presented and possess the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Thrive on achieving and exceeding targets and KPI's and are looking for a long term, career role.
  • Possess exceptional communications skills
  • Are able to take initiative, problem-solve and lead by example by being an active member of the team
  • Have exceptionally high customer service expectations

The remuneration for this position is negotiable and based on previous experience and is anticipated to be highly competitive.
